What's New

The HCUP Central Distributor has begun releasing 2023 State databases through the HCUP Central Distributor Online Reporting System. New releases will be reflected on the Available Databases by Year page.

The HCUPnet State Inpatient dashboards have been updated to include new inpatient data. The dashboards now include 2000-2022 hospital state inpatient statistics overall and by diagnosis and procedure categories.

12/09/2024: The Trends in Emergency Department Visits dashboard has been updated to include new 2022 data. The dashboard now includes ED Trends data from 2009 through 2022 from the National Emergency Department Sample (NEDS).

The Stat Brief reports that rates of adult inpatient stays with MRSA infections declined by 10.9 percent from 2016 to 2021. However, increases in MRSA infections that were not present on admission to the hospital increased from 2019 to 2021. See HCUP Stat Brief #315 for additional findings.
